We are looking for a talented and passionate Technical Support Analyst (TSA) to join our team.

The APNK Team supports two services developed and maintained in partnership with public libraries - the APNK Service and the Kōtui Library Service.

Through the APNK Service, the Team partners with public libraries to connect people and communities, enabling them to use information for innovation and knowledge creation, and to engage with and contribute to their diverse communities.   The APNK Service provides broadband connectivity, offers an environment where people can learn and use technology with confidence and provides access and storage for community content by delivering Internet Access, managed desktop PCs, Wi-Fi, and learning and content services to public libraries across New Zealand.  Through the Kōtui Library Service, the Team supports and maintains a shared library management and resource discovery service for customers and staff of subscribing New Zealand public libraries.

The TSA provides support to partner libraries, maintaining the managed PCs of the APNK Service, supporting the Kōtui Library Service and maintaining the network infrastructure supporting both services.

To succeed in this role you will need a "can-do" attitude, a strong customer focus and a commitment to providing quality service and support within a small team environment.  A strong belief that information should be freely available to everyone in New Zealand and the ability to clearly communicate information to a wide range of people who have varying degrees of technical ability is a must.

Ideally you will have experience supporting PCs on a managed national network, including experience with desktop operating systems, desktop applications and networking technologies such as broadband connectivity and Wi-Fi.  Some experience supporting libraries, working with library systems and/or Linux will be an advantage.

This role requires some out-of-normal business hours to be worked, on-call work and some national travel.
