APNK wifi use at all-time high

13 Jan 2010

Use of the wifi service of the Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa has increased noticeably over the holiday period with roughly 1200 users connecting each day.  The 1000 user mark was broken on 29 December last year, had crept up to 1150 by last week (5 January), and passed 1200 yesterday.

Of the People's Network libraries offering a free wifi hotspot, sunny holiday destinations Blenheim, Nelson City and Gisborne have had the heaviest usage over this period.
